CK Group of Educational Institutions has a rich history that began nearly 50 years ago in 1974 with Baba Matriculation School, founded by the visionary late Mr. ChinniKrishnan and Ms. Dr. Hema ChinniKrishnan. With seven students at the start, the school grew significantly, Today CK Institutions has 6000+ students. In the year 2007, Cavinkare Pvt. Ltd. took over Baba Matriculation School, rechristened as CK School of Practical Knowledge and igniting a new era of growth and innovation. CK Group of educational Institutions is patronised by Cavinkare. It is a CSR initiative of Cavinkare Pvt. Ltd., aimed at serving the community of Cuddalore, located 170 km south of Chennai. The primary motto of the CK Group of Educational Institutions is to provide quality education at an affordable cost to economically backward communities.
Today, CK Group of Educational Institutions comprises an Engineering College, a College of Education, Matriculation School, CBSE School, a chain of Pre-schools and Daycare centers. CK Group proudly encompasses a CBSE school named CK School of Progressive Education, boasting over 1,000 students, along with seven nursery schools spread across the Cuddalore district, nurturing more than 500 young minds. Additionally, we operate CK Wonder Kidz in Chennai, which is also a premium Pre-school and a Daycare center providing a vibrant educational environment.
We also take pride in our innovative approach with CK Digital School, established at two rural locations in Cuddalore. Our unique initiative bridges the educational gap by offering students in rural areas access to high-quality education from urban teachers and the chance to connect with their peers in the city.
The C.K. College of Education (CKCOE), Cuddalore formerly known as JSJV Teacher Training Institute was established in the year 2008, then it was patronized by CavinKare Group of Companies in 2012 with the aim of providing technical excellence to the rural minds. CKCOE is one of the premier institutions in Tamil Nadu with international standards. It is approved by NCTE, New Delhi and affiliated to TNTEU, Chennai.
CKCOE is governed by visionary extraordinaire philanthropist Mr. C K Ranganathan, Chairman and Managing Director of CavinKare Group of Companies whose contribution to the society is outstanding. The college campus is spread over 3 acres of land in the heart of Cuddalore town and is easily connected from Puducherry, Panruti, Villupuram, Chidambaram and Virudhachalam.
The college maintains staff-student ratio of 1:10 as per NCTE norms. Our faculty members are well-experienced and have taken part in various research activities. CKC0E provides well equipped class rooms with LCD projector and computer system as a part of our e-learning activity and state of the art laboratories. Our library has a large collection of books to enrich the knowledge of students and faculty members.
